DIFFA Dining By Design 2013 Student Initiative
This year I had the opportunity to be on the team that will represent Pratt Institute at the DIFFA Dining by Design event, March 21st-24th, 2013. This annual event, now in its 15th year, brings together fashion designers, architects, interior designers to create spectacular, over-the-top dining environments. Every year four New York design schools are invited to contribute student pavilions, and I am proud to act as the project manager for Pratt Institute's team.

Along the perforated panels that form the perimeter of our pavilion, individual test tubes come together to create a map of the entire world.
The goal of our design was to create a dining experience that honored the sombre backdrop of the event - while still providing a glamorous memorable evening that celebrated each guests contribution to the fight against HIV/AIDS. People seem to have enjoyed it, and many shared it on social media:
